While the name Yoshimichi Kameda may not be familiar to many, his work certainly is. Yoshimichi began his animation career as an inbetweener in the mid 2000s and by the later 2000s he was performing key animation on series such as Saki,Zettai Karen Children (Psychic Squad), and Ryoko's Case File. Yoshimichi's big break came in 2009 on a little series calledFullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood where he worked on various opening animations as well as some of the most popular battles in the series.

Yoshimichi's style includes the use exaggerated line drawings to give a pencil or ink-like outline to his character as well as heavy shadowing and shading. Another characteristic of Yoshimichi's style are his dynamic use of extreme camera angles and motion. Dynamic might be an understatement as Yoshimichi's battle sequences typically include objects and character flying into and zooming past the camera at break neck speeds with quick cuts used to enhance the intensity. When combined with his love of tracking shots (a shot where the camera follows an object on screen), Yoshimichi's scenes tend to be hyper-kinetic to say the least.

So now the moment you've been waiting for, a MAD (I'm as clueless as you are on what it stands for, but hey, that's what they call them) focused on the work of Yoshimichi Kameda compiled by Sakuga Freak and YoutuberBlueSakuga.

William Taylor loves him some bad ass fight scenes and can't wait to highlight some of what's out there in the world of sakuga. Unravel the mystery via Twitter @mrsickvisionz.
